English Language Week 2010

Date : 3rd - 5th of August 2010

Venue : Dining Hall, SMK KM

English is the mother tongue for some 400 million people, and the second language of an equally large number of speakers. There are also an estimated 750 million people who learn English as a foreign language.

English Week 2010 is one of the annual activities for English Language Society 0f S.M.K Kota Marudu of the afternoon session. It is important to have the English language week as it will give students the opportunity to enrich communication skills in the language. Besides, this is one of the efforts to build up students’ confidence level and encourage them to show their hidden talents. It is also to attract students’ interest in learning English.

For Year 2010, the main target is to give chances to students to prove that they can handle activities on their own. Besides, it is also to raise funds for the English Language Society. This time, teachers will act as the consultants to the students.

The Principal of SMK KM Madam Tan Poh Choo had declared the English Language Week 2010 officially on last day of the event, 5th August 2010. Millions of thanks for opening the ceremony and your presence there was so meaningful to us.
